An Example Batch Process with OCR

In the videos in this section, we will demonstrate a full Grooper Batch Process designed to process a set of scanned documents. Since they are scanned pages and not digital files with native text data, they will need to be OCR'd. This will give us a broad overview of the process, what activities are involved with OCR, and how OCR text data is utilized throughout the Batch Process.

In this video, we will briefly go over the steps in the Batch Process and ingest pages into a new Batch.

ATTENTION 2022 and 2023 USERS

You will not be able to follow along with this video in Grooper. The demo uses a simulated scanning method that scans from a Test Batch in Grooper. Scanning from a Test Batch using the Grooper web client is currently depricated.

  • If you are following along using the Grooper thick client, you should be able to create the Batch and execute its Batch Process as demonstrated in the video.
  • If you are following along using the Grooper web client, you will not be able to follow along in Grooper. Please consider this video a demo.
